The Imagination Gap by travisJhanson The Imagination Gap by travisJhanson
Growing up I can remember playing in my imagination. It was an adventure everyday. Adventures that took me places and help me figure out what direction I wanted to go in life. My imagination gives me hope and allows me to dream big... Our imagination is a gift, a very precious gift one that when not used can be lost to us. We forget how powerful a gift it can be. So maybe playing outside, or with legos, blocks, action figures, is ok. It is a gift that can push us forward and help us solve complex issues and most importantly make life enjoyable. So dream big, embrace your imagination and let the adventure always move you forward.

This piece is also part of a very special project called the sunday's comic project.
Keep creating

This reminds me of Calvin and Hobbes. If you haven't read them I'm sure you'd love them. They're all about a child who uses his imagination and gets into trouble. Children are supposed to play pretend and use their imaginations. It helps them learn and helps their minds develop.

This is great. :D
Anyone who's always glued to any screen, is really missing out.

I do think it's the parents own fault if their kids don't play as they did.
After all, they are the ones who allow them to play video-games, watch TV, play with a tablet or phone ALL the time.
Kids need limits, but they won't set those limits themselves.

So very true!  I love all the adventure genres -- is that a tip of the hat to Magnus, Robot Fighter in the lower left panel?

The imagination needs as much exercise as possible!

This is epic! Excellent work. Gadgets, Dinosaurs, Killer Robots,  Spaceships and Adventure... everything a young child needs.

This brings back memories of Bill Watterson's full page Sunday comics.
