Mood Music (original ink)
11x14

I originally inked this piece almost completely twice before I finally got it right (this is why we ink on vellum). The original had vines running up the wall, but by the time i had finished it was a jumbled mess. So I changed it to another tree and it fits just right. I like how it came out and I am looking forward to adding colors.

This will be in full color and limited to 100 copies.

This seems a Calvin and Hobbes with Susie up there in the window. Great work!

never thought of that- i thought the tiger was the guard cat and he had to sooth the cat as well as the girl:)

canson tracing- it has a very smooth feel to it and lets my pens glide without resistance

Thanks man. I have been using a tracing box, just regular paper over my pencils for a long time now. The velum will cut out the need for the light box, so I really want to give it a try.

I love the tiger drawings you have been doing lately. Are they for a series, or a book you are working on? Or just drawn for fun?

just for fun- actually they are limited prints, I only do a 100 of each one.

as for the vellum- it takes a few weeks to get used to. More because it takes a second or two to dry- so you learn to ink a little differently than what you are normally used to. The end result though is a perfect piece for scanning. You can't get a better piece for reproduction.
